A's off to usual bad start.... SO ANNOYING
Ok so the A's are off to there usual bad start, and the more I think about it the more mad I get. Y does this happen every year?
I think that while the A's clubhouse is so relaxed , it is just not a place that gets focused and hard nosed about winning ball games. Lets face it they dont really have any team leader. Ok OK i know that chavvy stood up on the Bus in DC last year but come on the A;s dont have a day to day team leader. Also Macha is not a manager that is going to get his players ready and focused. If you combine those to things I think tghat is why they aklways start off so bad. I dont expect them to get better till june or july.
Its also annoying because the A's havent made the playoffs the last couple years due to the fact that they just wore out down the stretch. Reason for that is the fact they have had to play so good in the summer they just get too tired from having to come back from 15 games under 500.
Another annoying thing is the fact that Melhuse doesnt play more. Example today, throwing out 2 runners, thats about as many runners as Kendall threw out last year. Combine that with his 220 average and i SAY Platoon them!
Finally , The pitching has been decent not good or bad as a whole but the hitting has been a problem.
