Ncaa Football talk

There arent that many games this weekend to look forward to in college football. One of the few games is Arizona state On the road taking on Cal. Both teams are trying to prove themselves. For these teams, this week is separation Saturday. Even if Cal runs the table the rest of the way, I have to think people wont take them serious because of there huge loss to tennesee. Arizona state is an offensive team that will try to run n gun on cal.

Another big game this weekend is notre Dame , Michigan state. A spartans win would definetly put them on the map.

Upset pick: Marshall over Teneesee.

Biggest blow out: Auburn vs Buffalo

Raiders

the Raiders are 0-1. They played like shit. The infamous moment of the game was when Jerry Porter pumped his fist when brooks got sacked for the 7h time. His excuse as he was doing it to some fans talking to him. WTF. I want porter out of Oakland now. Hes not playing anyways. The raiders need to REBUILD NOT RETOOL. Trade Porter, Trade Moss, Start everything order. This team has No D and not a good offense. They arent good. Anyone reading this that thinks im being pessimistic Do you really think Kirk morrision, Nmandi asomougha, The whole O-line, Tommy Kelly and many more are good? This team is pathetic, Lamont Jordan is clearly overated. Im not just basing this on the chargers game. The biggest problem is the 0-line. Robert Gallery was a HUGe bust considering he was picked over Larry Fitzgerald, Sean Taylor and deAngelo hall just to name a few.

Let me tell you I still Think Art Shell is a good coach though. Im not going to rip him for the charger game.

Bottomline this team needs to REBUILD NOT RETOOL

Raiders open up tonight

Tonight the Raiders open up there season at the MAC against the Chargers. Last year the raiders got whooped against the chargers in Oakland. If you recall LT threw and ran for touchdowns. The chargers arent that good of a football team so If the raiders get creamed expect another 3 win season.

Keys for the season- Get randy moss the ball, just as good as TO if the ball gets thrown his way. Last year Kerry "Interception" Collins threw to Porter almost every play.

- Randy moss needs to stay healthy and be a force, Lamont jordan is not that good and Porter looks to be on the outs so Moss needs to have his best year yet.

- Aaron brooks atleast put up solid numbers, the future qb for the raiders appears to be Andrew Walter but atleast for this year Brooks needs to step up.

Prediction : Raiders will win 4 games tops. They just dont look very good.

NFL Preview

The nfl season officicialy starts tonight. the Dolphins take on the Steelers minus big ben. In this post I will predict division winners and the Wild card as long as my super bowl pick.

NFC WEST
1. Seattle- They look like a great team once again. Will shaun alexander have the Madden curse?
2. Arizona- New stadium same great offense with the addition of Edgerrin James. There problem is there O-line.
3. St Louis- Can bluger stay healthy and can Tory " big game" Holt have another monster year? Look for Rookie TE Joe Klopfenstein to have a great rookie campaign.
4. San Francisco. Mike Nolan looks to turn the 49ers from pretenders to contenders. Rookie TE Vernon Davis might help with that.

NFC North
1. Chicago- The bears look to advance farther then last years dissapointing loss to the Panthers
2. Minnesota- It will be hard for the Vikings to get the job done with out QB Donte Culpepper but New coach Brad Childress and Fullback Tony Richard will try to turn the Vikings ship around.
3. Green Bay- Will this finally be Brett Favre's final year? Rookie receiver Greg Jennings will try to replace the loss of Javon Walker.
4. Detroit- New QB's Jon Kitna and Josh McKown are a big improvement on Joey Harrington.

NFC South
1. Carolina- A lot of peoples pre season super bowl pick. They have the offense and defense to go far
2. Tampa Bay- QB Chris Simms is ready to have a break out season and John Gruden looks to get back to the super bowl.
3. Atlanta- Last year people finally realized Michael Vick isnt the same player he is in Madden. To his defense the receivers the Falcons had last year were terrible. The addition of Ashley Lelie will make there offensive a lot better.
4. New Orleans- Reggie Bush was a great pick and steal at the 2nd pick in the draft and Drew Brees is a great addition.

NFC East
1. Washington- With the additions of Brandon Lloyd and David givens along with there great defense win them this tough division. Can Clinton Portis stay healhy ? That will be key as well
2. New York ( Giants)- Eli Manning and Tiki Barber had great years last year. Look for rookie receiver Sinorice Moss to have a great rookie season.
3. Dallas- The key question in big D is how many games will TO play in. I say 11 and thats just not enough for the cowboys to win the best division in all of football.
4. Philladelphia.- We all saw last year how bad the Eagles were without TO. Donovan McNabb and receivers Donte' Stallworth and Reggie Brown try to improve there passing game.

AFC WEST
1. Denver- Another popular pre season super bowl pick. Jake " the snake" Plummber must perform in the clutch.
2. San Diego- LT will try to Run N' Gun over opponents.
3. Kansas City- Larry Johnson could rush for 2000 yards this year. One problem will be the different O-line.
4. Oakland- Aaron brooks was a decent addition. Their defense is just not good enough yet for them to contend.

AFC NORTH
1. Pittsburg- Great team once again. Ben Roethlisberger will miss the first few weeks with an injury . Charlie Batch will be the starter until big Ben gets back.
2. Baltimore- Steve Mcnair is a huge improvement over Kyle Boller and Anthony Wright. Can Jamal Lewis have a turn around year?
3. Cincinatti- Carson Palmer has looked terrific in the Pre-season, but can he come back from that huge Injury he had in the playoffs?
4. Cleveland- Kellen Winslow JR claims he's the best Tight end in the league. It's time for him to show that.

AFC SOUTH-
1. Indianapolis- Look for the colts to run away with the division even without Edgerrin James.
2. Jacksonville- Jack Del Rio's monster defense will get them 2nd place.
3. Tennesee- They have loads of young talent but wont contend for a couple of years.
4. Houston- Not taking Reggie Bush will show to be a huge mistake right away.

AFC EAST
1. New England- Tom Brady is one of the best players in the NFL, Doug Gabriel and Reche Caldwell have to step up this year.
2. Miami- Ronnie Brown will have a break out season at running back this year. Also Donte Culpepper gives this team a offensive threat.
3. Buffalo- Willis McGahee Could have a monster season. Not much other talent in Buffalo.
4. New York ( Jets) - New head coach Erc Mangini will get them 5 wins.

Playoff predictions

Wild card: Jacksonville over New England, Baltimore over Denver

Division- Jacksonville over indianoplis, Pittsburg over Baltimore

AFC Championship- Pittsburg over Jacksonville

NFC

Wild Card Washington over arizona, Carolina over New York ( Giants)

Division- Chicago Over washington Carolina over seattle

AFC Championship. Chicago Over Carolina

Super Bowl- Steelers over bears

NFC MVP- Kurt Warner
AFC MVP- Carson Palmer

Cal first game.. what a disaster

Cal WTF? honestly. I had a bad feeling about the game, Cal and the pac 10 with the exception of USC, is just west coast football. Teneesee steam rolled over the bears with a 35-18 victory in Knoxville. The score looked better then the game. That tells you how patchetic it was. Syndquan Thompson make a tackle dude . I know it was your first game as a bear and I know youre No Tim Mixon, but letting Robert Meacham get those 2 Td's was pathetic. Other low-lights were Marshawn lynch only getting 12 carries and forsett and both QB's playing like shit.

My man Deshawn "Action" Jackson was good but that was about it for the bears. Im sure all those college football midwest purists are happy. " Ca'al sucks they cant play re'al football, they play pussy football in the west" as A cal fan theres just nothing you can say. Tenesees a good football team but I think if cal played better they would have won. O yea i forgor the O-line otherwise known as the NO line. The key to the last few years of CAl football was that great line but losing 3 guys to the NFL didnt help things.

Next week the bears take on the golden gophers in tree hugger ville. Minnesota mite still be on a natural high after there 44 -0 whooping of the mighty kent state.

Cal plays a few good teams the rest of the way but people can say Pac 10 football is nothing compared to Sec, Big 12.... football.
