NFL Preview
The nfl season officicialy starts tonight. the Dolphins take on the Steelers minus big ben. In this post I will predict division winners and the Wild card as long as my super bowl pick.
NFC WEST
1. Seattle- They look like a great team once again. Will shaun alexander have the Madden curse?
2. Arizona- New stadium same great offense with the addition of Edgerrin James. There problem is there O-line.
3. St Louis- Can bluger stay healthy and can Tory " big game" Holt have another monster year? Look for Rookie TE Joe Klopfenstein to have a great rookie campaign.
4. San Francisco. Mike Nolan looks to turn the 49ers from pretenders to contenders. Rookie TE Vernon Davis might help with that.
NFC North
1. Chicago- The bears look to advance farther then last years dissapointing loss to the Panthers
2. Minnesota- It will be hard for the Vikings to get the job done with out QB Donte Culpepper but New coach Brad Childress and Fullback Tony Richard will try to turn the Vikings ship around.
3. Green Bay- Will this finally be Brett Favre's final year? Rookie receiver Greg Jennings will try to replace the loss of Javon Walker.
4. Detroit- New QB's Jon Kitna and Josh McKown are a big improvement on Joey Harrington.
NFC South
1. Carolina- A lot of peoples pre season super bowl pick. They have the offense and defense to go far
2. Tampa Bay- QB Chris Simms is ready to have a break out season and John Gruden looks to get back to the super bowl.
3. Atlanta- Last year people finally realized Michael Vick isnt the same player he is in Madden. To his defense the receivers the Falcons had last year were terrible. The addition of Ashley Lelie will make there offensive a lot better.
4. New Orleans- Reggie Bush was a great pick and steal at the 2nd pick in the draft and Drew Brees is a great addition.
NFC East
1. Washington- With the additions of Brandon Lloyd and David givens along with there great defense win them this tough division. Can Clinton Portis stay healhy ? That will be key as well
2. New York ( Giants)- Eli Manning and Tiki Barber had great years last year. Look for rookie receiver Sinorice Moss to have a great rookie season.
3. Dallas- The key question in big D is how many games will TO play in. I say 11 and thats just not enough for the cowboys to win the best division in all of football.
4. Philladelphia.- We all saw last year how bad the Eagles were without TO. Donovan McNabb and receivers Donte' Stallworth and Reggie Brown try to improve there passing game.
AFC WEST
1. Denver- Another popular pre season super bowl pick. Jake " the snake" Plummber must perform in the clutch.
2. San Diego- LT will try to Run N' Gun over opponents.
3. Kansas City- Larry Johnson could rush for 2000 yards this year. One problem will be the different O-line.
4. Oakland- Aaron brooks was a decent addition. Their defense is just not good enough yet for them to contend.
AFC NORTH
1. Pittsburg- Great team once again. Ben Roethlisberger will miss the first few weeks with an injury . Charlie Batch will be the starter until big Ben gets back.
2. Baltimore- Steve Mcnair is a huge improvement over Kyle Boller and Anthony Wright. Can Jamal Lewis have a turn around year?
3. Cincinatti- Carson Palmer has looked terrific in the Pre-season, but can he come back from that huge Injury he had in the playoffs?
4. Cleveland- Kellen Winslow JR claims he's the best Tight end in the league. It's time for him to show that.
AFC SOUTH-
1. Indianapolis- Look for the colts to run away with the division even without Edgerrin James.
2. Jacksonville- Jack Del Rio's monster defense will get them 2nd place.
3. Tennesee- They have loads of young talent but wont contend for a couple of years.
4. Houston- Not taking Reggie Bush will show to be a huge mistake right away.
AFC EAST
1. New England- Tom Brady is one of the best players in the NFL, Doug Gabriel and Reche Caldwell have to step up this year.
2. Miami- Ronnie Brown will have a break out season at running back this year. Also Donte Culpepper gives this team a offensive threat.
3. Buffalo- Willis McGahee Could have a monster season. Not much other talent in Buffalo.
4. New York ( Jets) - New head coach Erc Mangini will get them 5 wins.
